Purpose: To provide all stakeholders with information about COVID-19 at Epping Gardens and our responses. These updates will be provided when there are changes to the situation at Epping Gardens.

Deepest Condolences
Heritage Care pass on our deepest sympathies to all those family, friends and our staff who, through their day to day work, formed emotional connectiveness to all those who have passed.

We can confirm:

  • 87 residents have now tested positive for COVID-19 (up 1 from yesterday)
  • 45 staff have now tested positive for COVID-19 (up 5 from yesterday)
  • 29 residents are on-site at Epping, 9 of whom are COVID-19 positive.

If you have not already, we again ask that you please nominate a primary contact for each resident who can then share the information with other families and friends.

We have received several enquiries about billing for residents who were sent to hospital. Please be assured, will not be billing any hospitalised resident or representative for their daily care fees or accommodation payments from the date of hospitalisation until their safe return. Again, our thoughts are with you all.

Contrary to The Herald Sun’s Whistle-blower article on 31st July, Heritage Care wish to state that there were no resident deaths on Monday 27th July.
