Procurement Officer
Are you a passionate Procurement Officer, who has a proven track record in the development and implementation of Procurement strategies and plans and market research? Do you have a proven track record in the health care sector?
Reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management & Procurement you will be based in our Support Office. You will need to be comfortable travelling to our 11 Homes as operationally required. You will be responsible for developing and partnering with stakeholders and will be involved in the full cycle of Procurement from market research, reviewing tenders, costings and placing orders.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Proactively support Residence Managers develop category plans through dynamic analysis of cost structures, supplier research, market indicators.
- Manage product lists and pricing within the ARM / Epicor procurement system.
- Develop tools and methodologies to classify expenditure into categories that support the development of category plans.
- Support the development and implementation of sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Lead sourcing activities in relation to category and stakeholder requirements.
- Develop contract management strategy for designated categories.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of requests for tender and pricing, along with analysis of the responses with the support of the Head of Asset Management and Procurement.
- Evaluate supplier performance, spend and financial status including adherence to agreed costs and rates.
- Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting and/or data validation as requested.
- Creation and distribution of purchasing policies and systems
- The application of risk management principles to the procurement process

What you will bring
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Procurement Management is essential.
- Previous experience in contract and category management in a medium to large multi-site health sector organisation.
- High level of negotiating/influencing, with the ability to finalise negotiations within tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate in spreadsheets (Excel), database and word processing applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion, and to meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and unexpected stakeholder or organisational requirements.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and develop working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- High level of accuracy and a strong attention to detail.
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current Covid-19 Vaccinations- highly recommended.
