This home is shortly opening a dedicated Memory Support Unit (sometimes known as a dementia unit), which is a purpose built area with its own gardens and courtyards to provide a safe and secure environment for people living with high dementia care needs.
Grand, spacious communal areas, large floor-to-ceiling windows and verandas ensure the home is flooded with natural light, creating a warm and bright ambience. It is beautifully furnished and decorated for maximum comfort, creating a peaceful and homely atmosphere for residents and their families to enjoy.
The home’s architecture has also been designed with residents’ wellbeing at its core. Heritage Epping faces the popular Edgards Creek Trail and the home’s layout promotes the stunning wetlands views to enhance the physiological wellbeing of our residents and their guests with many experiencing the tranquility of the countryside. The trail footpath is only metres from our boundary of the home so residents can feel a part of the community by ‘people watching’ while sitting in the garden.
Residents can spend time with their friends at the on-site café or numerous lounges that are located on each floor. There are also cosy ‘snug’ areas in the home to enable residents to enjoy some quiet time for themselves.
Just minutes from Epping’s town centre, our state-of-the-art residential, nursing and dementia care home, is based in the business precinct and can accommodate 148 residents.

New Memory Support Unit for people living with high dementia needs
Heritage Care has opened a state-of-the-art Memory Support Unit (MSU) within the Heritage Epping home that supports people with dementia to feel a sense of belonging, safety, independence and connection to others.
At Heritage Epping’s MSU, a highly flexible, home-like care model empowers residents to live according to their preferences in a stimulating and meaningful environment. Instead of adhering to a set group timetable, the care team will tailor their approach to accommodate each resident’s daily preferred routine and emotional state.

A Basic Daily Care Fee of $60.86 per day, is applicable to all residents entering either permanent care or respite, regardless of which residence you may choose.
- RAD (Refundable Accommodation Deposit) is the amount charged for a suite.
- DAP (Daily Accommodation Payment) an interest payment payable on an unpaid non-supported accommodation cost.
- COMBINATION Payment is when part RAD is paid and the remaining amount outstanding at the current interest rate (MPIR) 8.15% Example: RAD/DAP combination is paid 50% RAD x 8.15% DAP on remainder of RAD at 8.15%
- Means Tested Care Fee: This is a fee calculated by Centrelink based on assessment of your income and assets, (this is not applicable to all people).
- Fees and charges effective from 20th September 2023.
- MPIR (Maximum Permissible Interest Rate) effective from 1st October 2023.
Pricing is dependent on individual means and asset testing.
Payment can be made via a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD), a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or a combination of both.
