Heritage Care is currently recruiting for An Acc Officer to join our team based in Victoria working across our homes located in NSW and Victoria.

You will report to the AN ACC Manager and be a key member of the team. Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:

  • To work co-operatively with the AN-ACC Coordinator / Manager to ensure relative classification.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of AN-ACC and its implications.
  • Ensure AN-ACC knowledge is current and contemporary.
  • Discuss any discrepancies with AN-ACC Coordinator / Manager
  • Encourage substantial daily Progress notes when there is a classification or reclassification required.
  • Have regular communication with the General Manager / AN-ACC Manager & Coordinator regarding identifying the changes in residents care for potential reclassifications of resident's status.
  • Identify any education requirements at the facility level and report to AN-ACC Manager / Coordinator.
  • Ensure the charts / assessments / care plans are being completed with support from the RNs when required for classification.
  • To be available and when possible, on-site for AN-ACC assessors to support the facility.

About You

  • Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse with current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).
  • Knowledge and experience of the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC).
  • Sound Microsoft office computer skills.
  • The ability to identify funding opportunities as stated under the    AN-ACC business rules.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal and computer literacy.
  • Sound problem solving skills and a willingness to seek assistance when necessary.
  • Self-motivated and well organised, with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with stakeholders.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel between sites as / if required.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Covid-19 Vaccination (highly recommended)
