Heritage Northcote supports the Northcote Rise Festival

This year, Heritage Northcote was a major sponsor of the highly successful Northcote Rise Festival – which made a triumphant return on Sunday 18th February after a 13-year hiatus.

Northcote Rise Festival – celebrating community and diversity

Run by the Victorian Business Association and co-sponsored by Heritage Northcote, the Festival celebrates community, cultural diversity, and local businesses. Festival-goers enjoyed music, street artists, small businesses, and a superb selection of street and restaurant dining. The Festival brought feel-good vibes to the heart of Northcote and boosted local businesses and the community.

Heritage Northcote – a focus on community and care

Heritage Northcote’s co-sponsorship of the Festival reflects our focus on giving back to the community and providing high-quality care to residents from nationalities as diverse as the artists who performed at the Festival. A key part of our sponsorship included naming rights to the Community Stage (see image gallery) which hosted an eclectic mix of musicians like Wakaido Rindo, Gusto Gusto, and Amos Roach.

The Heritage Northcote marquee was set up near the Community Stage. The Heritage Care team was on hand to provide helpful information to people inquiring about aged care and the Festival. Our Heritage Care ‘showbag’ proved popular, as did our stamps for kids’ passports to win prizes.

Heritage Care CEO John Rutledge (see main picture and image gallery) introduced the St. Joseph’s Primary Choir and spoke eloquently about Heritage Care’s focus on community and quality care and how it complements the aims of the Festival.

More than just another event

The huge popularity of the Northcote Rise Festival shows that’s it’s not just another event. It’s a celebration of the distinctive charm, pride and vibrancy of the Northcote community – local residents, artists, and small businesses coming together on one special summer day in Melbourne’s vibrant inner north.

For us, it’s about supporting an event that reflects our core values of person-centred, high-quality care with empathy, and through assistive technology.
